So here's how this foldout in Superman Unchained #1 is going to work out – and why it's worth the couple of extra dollars. As explained at the Diamond Retailer Summit yesterday, ahead of C2E2.

It will be an eight page foldout of an epic battle with superman on one side of the foldout, and on the other side, the same battle from a different angle with a new perspective. It will show Superman fighting a planet-sized enemy and the foldout will enable the relative size of the opponent to register. We may get a visual later…

The first print of the Death Of The Family collection will feature the Joker's face as an acetate cover over another cover – so you will be able to peel the skin off the Joker's face. Possibly the most gross cover gimmick I've heard of. I want one.

Variant covers by Rags Morales for Green Lantern #21 will reveal the origin story of the new bad guy Relic. And they will bring back the Green Lantern ring giveaways…

Scott Snyder's new Vertigo comic The Wake is having its publication date shifted back. DC are making the book fully returnable however to any store that increases their orders to 150% of the original order. Which, as retailers have discovered with Saga, Jupiter's Legacy and East Of West of late can be a real win win.

They also announced an Infinite Crisis game from Warners which, just like Injustice and Arkham will have a comic book print and digital tie in.

Senior VP Sales Bob Wayne keeps blurting out his Direct Sales colleague Vince Letterio's phone number as a joke for any retailers who wished to express any problems. I'm not sure if anyone called it. Yet.

DC produced over a million Superman plastic bags for retailers ahead of the Man Of Steel movie, but it wasn't enough and they had to be allocated.

There were lots of requests for reprints, especially in the light of the Arrow TV series. DC are not planning to reprint Kevin Smith's Green Arrow…
