The comments on the Veronica Mars record breaking Kickstarter are rather repetitive.
Have pledge 10 (as wanted to donate something) – but would would be happy to add more for international shipping as in UK – really, really wanted a T-Shirt!
Adding my name to the many who would like international shipping, or at least a digital option that “ships” internationally.
pledged 10$, but happy to upgrade if you guys offer a DRM free download of the movie for international users.
Just backed this project. I’m all the way from Asia and even though there’s no reward for international fans, I already consider seeing the show and cast again more than enough reward for me.
Please let us know as soon as international shipping is available. I’ll gladly upgrade my pledge.
pledged $10 ‘cuase of the lack of goodies for international users (I’m in Spain) … sort this out and I’ll be pleased to add more and get the digital download
Also willing to put more in if International Shipping added… I’m happy to even pay for international shipping.
Big fan from Germany here! I gave the minimum, but i will give more, when there is a statement about the rewards.
just backed it! but please, add international shipping!!!!!!!!!!! I would back even more
UK person here. I’d at least like to receive a digital copy of the film.
Another $35 from Australia! Hoping to up it by the end of the campaign once International rewards are added (and hopefully I’ll have a job by then, too…)!
Have pledged $1 as there’s nothing for me here in the UK. I’m confident they must have a way of finding *something* to attract international pledges, so I’ll up my pledge when/if that happens.
Another international backer (UK), would have put in $100s, only put in $10…
I would love to give more than 10 bucks but all the rewards are limited to the US and it’s a huge bummer for someone not living there :/
Another international backer here. Will back again if I can get at least the digital copy of the movie. So happy we are getting this movie. :)
Please add international shipping! I would love to pledge more than $10!
And that’s just in the last hour. And all from people who have made donations, even if they can’t get the donor rewards. Imagine how high their already record busting total would go if they delivered rewards for international donations as well? Rob Thomas has written;
Please know we are trying to make international donations a possibility. We are running into a couple thorny issues, but we want it to happen. It might take a week or two before we have an answer, but keep checking back. Know that we hear you, and we’re trying our best.
Thorny issues may include international distribution rights, which are often tied up separately in distribution deals and selling copies and merchandise overseas, digital or otherwise, may disrupt those deals.
But there are solutions. Having a friend in the US who will accept you stuff and either keep it for you if you’re visiting, or reship to you. There is the possibility that the digital copy will be geolocked to the USA but Bleeding Cool has provided you with ways round that in the past as well.
But if you don’t have any friends in the US willing to do you a solid, or you just don’t want to inconvenience them, the most popular alternative is MyUS.com, which provides a US shipping address and will reship anything to you. Bear in mind that this isn’t a cheap solution and its possible you may have to pay Customs duties on top but if you’re as big a Veronica Mars fan as I am then that probably won’t stop you.
Or you can wait and see as to what Rob comes up with…
