Jeff Lemire tweets pics of a few comics… what does it all mean? Out of the comics shown, I’d hope for Spectre in particular. Or maybe Red Tornado (who has already been mentioned as being under construction in the New 52), despite what the forum says. But mostly Spectre, I think. Over the last couple of days, Jeff Lemire has tweeted the visuals below without further comment, despite a variety of pleas from his followers.

The DC Domu 2 1/2 inch figurines, out next month, show off a variety designs including DC Classic and DC New 52 for some. But because they are boxed mystery fugures, you won’t know whether of not your Superman will have underwear or not until you open it. Or if you’ve been stuck with Aquaman again.
Rob Liefeld has been sharing the art he did for a fill-in issue on New Mutants before he became the penciller on the title, which was fully pencilled and inked but never published. In which he draws New Mutant character Warlock as if he was a Tex Avery Toon. And at one point attempting an inter-company crossover by transforming into the Batmobile.

Here we have Superman doing an acting face, some of those yellow minion things looking cheeky, a crowd scene from World War Z, and more.
Fede Alvarez, director of the new Evil Dead, came to the attention of Sam Raimi with a very CG-heavy short film – I’ll embed it at the foot of this post so you can see just how dependent on computers it was. Having seen this film it strikes me as something of a surprise that Alvarez is now promising there’s no CG in his Dead remake at all.
Here are the storyboards for the shower scene in Hitchcock, the pulled-back, on-the-set version of the shower scene in Psycho. Below the video and for comparison, Saul Bass’ storyboards for the original.

The case of atheism is a practiced and oft repeated one. I’ve never been totally convinced myself, as I still have an inability to explain consciousness in any other way than the spiritual that makes any sense to me, but I doubt I’m going to be able to convince others of that. I’m not going to duel with dualism here.
So $6 then. Meaning you get a code-less print Amazing Spider-Man #700 for $1. Nice.
It began with the internet and with Warren Ellis. Yes, Warren Ellis. I had followed him on line and had watched and interacted with his weekly newsletter. He had built quite a tribe on line and I felt that there was much to learn from his example. Remember, this was long before Facebook or twitter were anything even remotely resembling a reality. In short, social media did not exist.
