New Community Starts On November 9th… In Canada – UPDATE: Or Not

I’d like to see America go where Canada leads. In terms of socialised healthcare. In terms of gun ownership legislation and crime levels. In terms of screening the next series of Community.

The premiere date for the next run of Community episodes has been listed as November 9th on the site of City TV, a Canadian broadcaster (via Vulture and Splitsider).

This means NBC will either have to bring their plans in line or run the risk of losing their audience to border-crossing runs. And by border-crossing runs, I mean torrents.

Anyway, whenever it does start airing, in Canada or wherever, there’s still the small matter of whether or not it will even feel like Community anymore with its new showrunners and all. Perhaps we’ll end up wishing the indefinite postponement had never come to an end.

UPDATE: City TV have now changed their site to show a placeholder date of January 2013 and to show the notice:

NO DATE HAS YET BEEN SET FOR THE RETURN OF COMMUNITY.
