Magic The Gathering Beats Gangnam Style For Advance Comics Reorders
Every week when we run this chart, we point out the subsequent prints of comics are over represented on the Advance Reorder scale, as this is often the only way they can be ordered.
This week, the subsequent prints have all but dominated the chart, with Magic The Gathering Sell Thief #3 second print beating out the Avengers #1 Deadpool Style variant – the latter may have pop culture relevance but the Magic second print "now includes an exclusive, playable, alternate-art "Standstill" 1st Printing Magic card". In fact the first standard format comic in a first print on the list is Frankenstein Alive Alive #2 – issue 1 sales must have been rather strong, and retailers are racing to bump up their traditionally reduced second issue orders.
Order is restored on the reorder charts for books that have already shipped with Walking Dead and Batman collections seizing the top spots, with Uncanny Avengers #1 and Catwoman #13 making a strong showing too…
