Video: The Short Film Charlie Kaufman Didn’t Know He Was Making

Eliot Rausch‘s short film What I Have To Offer was effectively co-written by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Synecdoche, New York screenwriter Charlie Kaufman – not that he knew it.

Rausch has taken material from a lecture Kaufman gave at the BFI last year, cut it down and set it to visuals that underscore and counterpoint it.

That puts me in mind, very much, of when Baz Luhrmann took Mary Schmich‘s Chicago Tribune article Advice, Like Youth, Probably Just Wasted On The Young and turned it into a hit single.
