Cyber Force Kickstarter Is A Go

Maybe this should have been around when Top Cow were getting all the publicity. But, as they discovered, sometimes Kickstarter projects take longer to go up than you might expect.

Well it's up now. The funding of a Cyber Force relaunch, one of the original Image Comics from twenty years ago. Five issues of which will be distributed for free across American comic stores in print, and free in digital. Kickstarter funders however will be able to get an exclusive hardcover version and exclusive variant versions. As Bleeding Cool revealed the print version will have extra pages by Cyber Force's creator and Image Comics founder Marc Silvestri.

I also understand that Top Cow will torrent the digital version themselves as CBR files, pointing people to pick up the free print version in comic stores.

This is the most high profile comic book publisher in the US to have gone the social funding route, though in France it has already been seized by the main publishers.

There are currently 95 backers with $8912 of the $75,000 necessary raised. I'm in.
