Craig Cermak, Martin Cóccolo, Tyler Crook, Teagan Gavet And Dave Wachter Nominated For Russ Manning Newcomer Award, For San Diego Comic Con

The nominations for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award, the winner to be announced during the Eisner Awards ceremony at San Diego, have been announced.

They reward comic book artists early on in their career, and past winners include Dave Stevens, Jan Duursema, Steve Rude, Scott McCloud, Art Adams, Eric Shanower, Dan Brereton, Jeff Smith, Gene Ha and Alexander Maleev.

The 2012 nominees are Craig Cermak (Voltron, Year One), Martin Cóccolo (Helldorado), Tyler Crook (Petrograd), Teagan Gavet (Norguard: Across Thin Ice) and Dave Wachter (Night of 1,000 Wolves and That Hellbound Train).
