The Irrepressible Rise Of The Walking Dead – #28 In The Charts

The Irrepressible Rise Of The Walking Dead – #28 In The ChartsThat's the thing about The Walking Dead. It keep shambling along, ever up the charts, ever slowly… but it suddenly took a jump. From breaking into the top fifty in April, to breaking into the top thirty.

The twenty-eighth and thirty-first places respectively in fact, outselling everything from Uncanny X-Force to Teen Titans to Wonder Woman to Secret Avengers to Catwoman. In fact it's a few places short of outselling Amazing Spider-Man.

Indeed if not for the Avengers Vs X-Men and the Night Of The Owls crossovers, I believe it would have been far higher up the charts.

The book has been consistently selling out at stores, pushing the price for back issues into the stratossphere. Finally retailers are starting to catch up to the demand.

And the lack of availability of second prints.

I still think there's some way to go though. Where will issues 99 and 100 end up?
