Florida Comic Store Owner Arrested On Suspicion Of Dealing Illegal Substances

A Pensacola comic book store owner, Michael Lewis of Rocket Comics has been arrested by local police, as is being held at the Escambia County Jail on an $11,000 bond.

It is claimed that several bags of "illegal spice" or synthetic cannabis and the means to make it were seized.

Two years ago, Lewis was quoted;

"I sell about five pounds of this stuff a day," said Mike Lewis, a local business owner who switched from selling comic books to Spice four months ago.

According to Lewis, the comic book business slowed substantially in wake of the recent recession. He has his own blend which he makes himself, but would not comment on whether or not it should be smoked directly. "The comic books now only make up about one-half percent of my business," Lewis said.

The article also states;

Legislation has also been proposed in Florida to ban the compound, but has not as of yet made to the Legislative branch for a vote.

US federal law changed earlier this year, making all such substances illegal.
