Five Copies Of Saga #1 Sell On eBay For $9 Each

Here you go folks. The current asking – and getting – price of a copy of Saga #1 on eBay is $8.99. And one seller has sold five of them at that price – and has now put the price up to $14.99 for any future sales. He may well et them.

This is a comic that readers and retailers were given fair warning about. Yet I have receiced repeated reports that may comic stores did not even have copies on the shelf.

A new title written by Brian K Vaughan should have been enough to sound the warning bells. But it also seems that many readers only let their retailers know they wanted a copy well after the final orders were in. Image printed a large overprint, but sold out of that today as well.

But you know what? 44 pages for $9 instead of $3 is a big jump. But it's still only slightly more than if you bought the equivalent at Marvel's $3.99 20 page price point…
