Star Wars Visionary Ralph McQuarrie Has Passed Away Aged 82 

Some of the designs in the first three Star Wars films are honestly amazing work. The man we have to thank for this is Ralph McQuarrie, the concept artist who really set the tone for the film, much more so than any other individual. And I'm including George Lucas in that.

If this were a Carry On movie, both parts of that headline would refer to the fuller-length shot of Eva Green but, no, I'm not just dribbling on about boobs for a cheap laugh, I'm trying not to spoil who the special guests are. George Lucas Pays His Respects To Ralph McQuarrie

Concept artist extraordinaire Ralph McQuarrie has passed away, aged 82. Last night, I shared some of McQuarrie's wonderful work for the Star Wars films, and today, the official Star Wars website has published George Lucas' remembrance of a friend. Here it is.
