Wednesday Trending Topics: Surprise, It's Before Watchmen Day
To the surprise of few, it's one of the most predictable trending topic days ever: All Before Watchmen, all the time. I suppose the only surprise is that no Watchmen rumors surfaced on the movie side. Overall, it was also an interesting day in comics history, with major birthdays for two of our most important modern comics institutions: 30th anniversary of Diamond Comics Distributors, 20th anniversary of Image Comics. A full confirmation of the Watchmen prequel project from DC Comics we have previously referred to as Watchmen 2, Before Watchmen, with writing details, courtesy of the Wausau Daily Herald which I think may have slightly broken an embargo.

According to a rather astonishing new rumour, a well-worn but pretty wild sci-fi staple could be on the cards for Star Wars-ification. Be warned that the following is a potential spoiler… for a potential show. We may not ever get to see Star Wars Underworld at all, let alone with this plot point in place, so you might consider it more safe than usual to read on.
The Wayne Enterprises factories are working over time to get The Dark Knight Rises merchandise ready to go and, as with Green Lantern, there are two very clear approaches being taken. Movie Masters will be highly articulated figures (Maybe all of Tom Hardy's shoulder muscles will move individually!) whilst Quick Tek will be a series of less detailed figures with snap on armour and equipment. Basically, if they made Pirate Batman now, he'd be a Quick Tek figure.
Last time there was a "first image" from James Bond's Skyfall, he had his back turned and was barely dressed. The time before, it turned out to be an image from Casino Royale.
