Foundry Comics Founded By Lloyd Levin
Variety report that Lloyd Levin is the latest to launch a line of comic books with the intention of turning them into movies.
The difference is that Lloyd Levin can turn comic books into movies. His credits include Watchmen, Hellboy, Hellboy 2, Timecop, Mystery Men and The Rocketeer.
So, with Stranger Comics, Lloyd Levin is launching Foundry Comics, publishing four to six graphic novels each year in a variety of genre, creating the comics alongide the screenplay.
Planned titles include Offworld by David Johnson and James Webster, already in in pre-production on a movie about intergalactic safaris with Julian Gilbey directing.
Quincey Morris by Steven Katz and James Webster, about the cowboy who killed Dracula in Bram Stoker's original novel.
Escape Velocity by Andrew Cosby and Young — a man vs. machine story set in space
Ruining Christmas by Sebastian A. Jones, Darrell May and James Webster — a holiday tale about two hard-partying elves who neglect their duties
Looks like Radical and Platinum have some real competition…
