Darwyn Cooke's Plans For Parker

At the Long Beach Comic Con, Darwyn Cooke and IDW announced that the planned four book adaptations of the remarkably influential Parker heist novels by Richard Starks, will expand to five titles.

Currently, Cooke is working on the third of his adaptations, The Score, in which Parker puts a team together to rob an entire town.

A critical hit, Cooke's books have been instrumental in showing how adaptations can reflect tone and character, rather than the simple summation of a plot common to many other adaptations, raising the bar on the artform.

Looks like Cooke will continue to stay as busy as he'll let himself.

IDW are selling a limieted cover edition of the Martini Edition, compiling the first two adaptations, The Hunter and The Outfit.
