Dave Hoover Passes

Dave Hoover PassesDave Hoover, best known for his work on Starman and The Wanderers for DC, and Captain America has passed away.

Of late he had reinvented himself as a "good girl" commission artist and had a strong convention following. He also taught at the Digital Media faculty at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

Fans are leaving their remembrances of him on Dave's DeviantArt site. They're heartbreaking, he was a much loved man.

I only knew Dave briefly, he contacted me last month when he wanted to let me know he was pulling out of Rick Olney's comic convention. Throughout everything it was clear he was only thinking of the fans. Right now his fans are only thinking of him.

Rest in peace, Dave.
