It seems to have been made clar that DC Comics aren't that interested in Brian Wood any more. DMZ ending, Northlanders cancelled with no replacement Vertigo projects, and dropped off the DC New 52 revamp of Supergirl without any reasonable explanation. And his work on Supernatural came from the Wildstorm side of the company as a last act before their disbandment…

He has new creator owned projects elsewhere, but he's also talked about work-for-hire in his future anyway.
