John Byrne's Cold War Gets Its Cover Blown
The Associated Press reports details on John Byrne's upcoming book that Bleeding Cool teased previously, Cold War: The Damocles Contract, under the Michael Swann Dossier banner.
The first issue of the four issue mini-series is published in October from IDW and stars ex-spook Michael Swann, working black op freelance for the British government in the sixties, in this case, stopping a scientist defecting to the Soviets.
Byrne told the AP that "I'd been thinking for quite a long time that it would be fun to play in those dark and dangerous days of the Cold War. Skulk around some of those dark alleys visited by the likes of Ian Fleming and John Le Carre. With maybe a little John Steed around the edges."
