Keith Ralph Retires From Egmont Today

Keith Ralph Retires From Egmont TodayKeith Ralph was the managing director for many years of Egmont Creative in London for many years until 2010, controlling their Disney pre-school magazine and comics, and had been been consulting for Egmont until today.

Before aquisition by Egmont, Keith Ralph was part of Fleetway, and editor of the kids comics Whizzer and Chips and Jackie in the seventies and eighties.

And while that's what I'll know him most for, as a big Whizzer reader, his biggest impact on my two young daughters was to take the lead Disney female characters and sell them as one magazine brand called Princess. This approach caught on at Disney globally and as a result, I have a house that's far pinker and more sparkly than it would be otherwise…

Happy retirement Keith!
