The Speculator Hits Of Free Comic Book Day 2011

Remember, all these comics were given away for free on Saturday. For free. And there have been tens and tens and in some cases hundreds of thousands of copies printed. None of these should be rare. But some of them, clearly, are.

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of ICE has sold for $4

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Atomic Robo has sold for $5.25

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Super Dinosaur has sold for $5.50

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Mouse Guard has sold for $5.75

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Star Wars/Avatar has sold for $7

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Elric has sold for $7.50

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Baltimore has sold for $7.51

A copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of Green Lantern has sold for $8

And a copy of the Free Comic Book Day edition of The Misadventures Of  Adam West has sold for $11.24 on eBay.

While all 37 comics and Heroclix figures will set you back $65. On the basis of the above, that might be worth it…

To repeat, on Saturday, everything was…. free.
