Win A Steampunk iPad Cover With SyFy’s Riese – Including Clip From The Show

The above image and the below clip, both from Riese, feature a bad guy that ticks like a clock. Will that ever stop being a little bit creepy?

If you’ve missed it so far, Riese is a steampunk-tinged folkloric fantasy web series from SyFy that could well serve as a kind of backdoor pilot for a new TV show. They’re running a new episode twice weekly on their official site, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and you could quite easily catch up on the three brisk episodes that have been released to date over lunch.

According to SyFy’s press release:

The story follows Riese, a wanted princess of the Kingdom of Eleysia that has been overthrown by a powerful society called The Sect. The evil empress Amara has proclaimed Riese a traitor, who must evade her pursuers with nothing but her wits and the help of her wolf companion, Fenrir.

By now I bet you’re gagging to click over, if only to find out how to pronounce Riese.

The series has a pretty recognisable cast, with Amanda Tapping narrating, Christine Chatelain as Riese herself, and my Smallville favourite, Allison Mack, dressing up and playing a member of The Sect.

Before you leap into the series proper, we do have a very brief clip for you. To be honest, it’s not exactly one of the highpoints of the show so far, but it isn’t giving too much away either. It’s hard choosing these things, I’m sure.

Now, if you’d like to win a pretty nifty iPad cover courtesy of SyFy and Riese, then read the following:

Riese is set in a futuristic Steampunk dystopia and to celebrate the series we’re giving you the chance to win a unique an iPad Steampunk skin. To be in with a chance of winning just answer the following question…

What is the name of the powerful society trying to control the Kingdom of Riese?

a)     The Sins

b)     The Sanctum

c)     The Sect

E-mail your answer to me, with a name and address, and I’ll pull one correct response at random.
