How Erik Larsen Restored Image's Wondercon Booth Placement With A Tweet

So I guess the layout for this year's Wondercon just got announced to vendors? Why? Because Erik Larsen has been tweeting;

Wow. Wondercon just fucked @imagecomics by sticking us in the back of the floor because Marvel decided to come back after a 10 year absence.

How messed up is that? We've been at Wondercon EVERY year–Marvel hasn't–but they'd just push us to the wall when they bat their eyes.

When asked bytropicalsteve "Hasn't Image had the same location on the floor for years? Why would they do that?" he replied;

because they'd rather suck Marvel's cock.

Hey, @WonderCon thanks for fucking @imagecomics in the ass by bumping it to the back to make room for Marvel. We stuck with you–they didn't

I'm sure Marvel just told @WonderCon that they wanted to be at the front of the room as a condition for their return and Wondy said, "sure."

So I went and asked a representative of Marvel (you'll probably guess who) who told me;

We were offered a choice of open booth spaces and chose one. End of story. That anyone got "bumped" is news to us.

But I do want to point out that many of our creators do work for Image, myself an ex-Image creator myself, so we're sorry if our decision to set up at Wonder Con again beginning this year inconveniences anyone.

That was in no way our intention.

Meanwhile Erik Larsen was keeping on tweeting;

the diplomatic solution would be for @WonderCon to talk about it with @imagecomics NOT make the deal and screw a loyal patron.

Thing is–it wasn't even a domino effect–@WonderCon didn't nudge us and it turn have us nudge the next guys in line.

We were moved and smaller companies now have better placement than Image does at @WonderCon.

Of course we do hope to find an equitable @WonderCon solution. It's not set in stone yet–but it's a drag getting bumped around.

I'd rather we not do something as drastic as boycotting @WonderCon

Honestly, @WonderCon is in a bad spot–Marvel should be placed in a good spot–they ARE a draw–at the same time they should be loyal.
