"Mr Benn Put On The Costume… And It Was Forty Years Later"

As nostalgic apects of my childhood, Mr Benn figures large. A simple semi-animated TV series based on the books, in which Mr Benn enters into a costume shop, tries on a costume, then walks out of the changing room into a world in keeping with his new attire. I even found myself living a few streets down the road from where the show was set for a few years.

The show ran for one series of thirteen episodes in 1971 and 1972 but repeats cemented it in the subsconscious of Britain, and it got one new episode in 2005. This print features all of Mr Benn's costumes, signed by the artist and show creator, David McKee.
