Alan Moore Participates In "Read-In" To Save Local Library

On February the 5th, there will be a protest "read in" at the St James Library in Northampton with Alan Moore, that follows a protest held there tomorrow from midday to 2pm.

The library, along with many others, is suffering from local council budget cuts as the British government has been reducing council funding. Alan Moore is quoted as saying the move threatens to 'take literacy away from the people'.

A protest will also be held at St James Library, Northampton, tomorrow from midday until 2pm, with the read-in then planned for the following Saturday.

This is part of a series of protests against planned closures of eight libraries across Northamptonshire as part of plans to save £73 million.
