This Week's Diamond Secret Shopper List Is…

Diamond Comics Distribution are on a mission to catch comics retailers selling comics too early. With a crack squad of elderly women posying as comic book collectors.

The place:

The comic book shop Pastimes in Asheville, North Carolina.

The time:

Less than two minutes before closing today.

The suspect:

A white women in her seventies, asking for Avengers #9, Detective Comics #873 and X-Men #7.

The result:

The lady was told that unfortunately they don't go on sale until tomorrow.

The relief:

That she didn't have Fantastic Four #587 on the list!

UPDATE: Another shop reports Uncanny X-Men #532 requested instead of X-Men #7 – is this a secret shoppper schism?
