Sunday Runaround – Was It The CIA Or Was It Tintin Fans?

PornWatch: The Beat joins the Bleedingcoolification of comics, reporting on promotion for The Justice League Of Porn Heroes and Batman XXX's win in Las Vegas' porn awards.

TintinWatch: The infamous Tintin In The Congo comic book has been seen to inspire a new Congolese comic book industry, with local creators creating new work to balance the way the country and its citizens have been portrayed in that comic – and the history it inspired;

Lumumba had railed against the Tintin strips, which he said compared colonised Africans to monkeys. He concluded his speech by telling Belgium's monarch: "We are no longer your monkeys." Scarcely six months later, Lumumba was dead, assassinated with the complicity of the CIA and Belgian intelligence service.

Marvel/DC Painter Looking for Models to Appear in a Mainstream Comic Book

My name is Mike Mayhew. I am a comic book artist who specializes in realistic artwork. I use photos I take to achieve my photo-realistic look.  I have a gig from a major comics publisher, and am looking to cast many models to portray dramatic scenes in a mainstream comic book. All ages, races, and types will be considered.  I'm looking to shoot pics at my studio in Glendale as soon as this week. This is an extended assignment, so I'll continue to cast roles several months down the road. The photos are merely reference for my art and will not be reproduced.

The rate would be $50-100 per hour. This would depend on the prominence of the role, and if it was reocurring, or just a background player.
