The Walking Dead #1 Sells For $1825

The Walking Dead #1 Sells For $1825It's a near-perfect copy of the comic. There only six graded at 9.9 by CGC in the world. And right now it's the highest price comic book published in the last ten years. The Walking Dead #1 has just sold for $1825 on eBay.

Those grade points do make a big difference. A 9.6 version, the difference barely noticeable to the untrained eye, went for $1500.

Ungraded copies still fetch a fair amount, issue 1 going for $420, a big jump on the $250 it was going for back in February.

The AMC TV series has clearly proved a boost for demand for these early issues. And the critical acclaim and audience response to the first and second episodes may help to reduce the usual post-premiere dip in demand.

If anything, The Walking Dead appear very alive indeed.
