Was This The World's First Comics Shop? And Do You Know The Owner?

Was This The World's First Comics Shop? And Do You Know The Owner?BBC Scotland are working on a TV programme that features what may be the world's first comic shop. Certainly the first in Britain. Opening in 1940, Yankee Mags off Wellmeadow Street/Walker Street/Lady Lane in Paisley, Scotland was described as "stuffed to the rafters with new and used American comic books"

Does anyone know who owned the shop? And if they have any surviving relatives?

The location became a post office, now itseklf closed down, but there may be an attempt, if only for a day, to recreate the original…
