I can say right now that Image Comics, the publisher where I'm a partner, less than 50 percent of our books center on superheroes. More than half are detective comics and non-superhero themes. At the same time, we're off the beaten path from bigger publishers like Marvel or DC. Image has grown by leaps and bounds. We have more books every month, and our titles launch newer and higher.

Yeah. Bob had his relationships with established talent and then we both had a really good eye for new, up and coming talent. So I kind of pointed Bob towards Kevin's material; I thought that would be a great fit. Then Bob tried to bring in Kevin while he was at Dark Horse, and when he left, we tried to bring him on to Oni. Rucka was a local writer at the time looking to get into comics, and he was just a great writer, so we brought him on board.

Heading into the next year, Capcom is focusing on a strategy they call 'Single Content Multiple Usage', which mirrors the growing transmedia trend in the industry. This strategy calls for Capcom to spread their considerable library of IP into other markets, including film, television, comic books, music, animation, and mobile games.
