Riverdelhi High? – Bollywood Movie Based On ArchieRiverdelhi High? – Bollywood Movie Based On ArchieThis isn't the first live action movie based on the future adventures of characters from the Archie comics, that honour goes to Archie: To Riverdale And Back Again. Shudder.

But Anshuman Jha and Raj Kumar Yadav, who debuted in Dibakar Banerjee's Love Sex Aur Dhoka are to be leads in debut director Amit Chauhan's Boys Toh Boys Hai.

Boys Toh Boys Hai is a new movie based on the Archie characters but relocated to Delhi, following young men looking for love.

Naturally there are a number of changes to avoid any copyright or trademark issues. Anshuman's "Archie" is now a Punjabi military/political leader while Kumar's "Jughead" plays a Hindu trader..

The look of the film will try to reflect the comics as much as possible, including the bright primary colours of the comic. Filming starts in Mumbai in a week.

I've no idea if there are any musical moments but they can't be as bad as Jughead and son doing an impromptu rap…
