Dark Horse Vs Vanguard Over Frazetta White Indian?

Dark Horse's October solicitations contain The Classic Comics Archives Vol 1: The White Indian, collection in full Frazetta's work on the comic.

It was rather odd.

Dark Horse's October solicitations contain The Classic Comics Archives Vol 1: The White Indian, collecting in full Frank Frazetta's work on the comic, with a December publication date. The solicitation reads;

The longest comic-book run of Frank Frazetta's career! However, Vanguard also offered… the very same collection

Frazetta Management and Vanguard Productions announced that Vanguard will be releasing all of the Dan Brand/White Indian material, originally published in the 1950's by Magazine Enterprises, as part of its new Vanguard Frazetta Classics line.  White Indian represents Frazetta's longest artistic run on a single comic feature. The Complete White Indian Collection is Volume 2 of the Frazetta Classics line.

Some hurried negotiation later and, according to Vanguard publisher, J David Spurlock;

Vanguard will release WHITE INDIAN Vol 1 by Frazetta, and Dark Horse will do WHITE INDIAN ARCHIVES Vol 2 of all all the other White Indian material.

Will Dark Horse really stand for that? What's going on? Will Vanguard really get Frazetta and leave Dark Horse with the rest? And how come this all happened in days of one another. Expect some kind of official confirmation shortly. But it does smack of this kind of thing somewhat…
