Disney And Marvel Hit The French Bookstores

Disney And Marvel Hit The French BookstoresDisney comics are returning to bookstores in France.

They never left the newsstands, where they still sell tens of millions of copies a year, but collected volumes have been absent from bookstores for decades!

Glénat is the publisher who has signed the deal – which will make for some interesting meetiongs with rival publisher Hachette, which has has said newsstand/newsagent distribution rights for decades.

And in related news, Marvel's global childrens book publishing line has now been absorbed into Disney – this French deal seems ideally placed to take advantage of that.
