Hyatt Removing San Diego Attendees

Hyatt Removing San Diego AttendeesFor years people have talked about San Diego Comic Con attendees boycotting the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel  over the homophobia-supporting actions of owner Doug Manchester.

Well, now it seems that the Hyatt is boycotting San Diego Comic Con attendees.

It's already been reported (and cartooned) that Al Gore is in attendance at the American Health Association convention being held at the Hyatt during Comic Con, the hotel that is traditionally the hangout place of the comic industry during the show, and who spend approximately sixty million dollars at the hotel in question over those five days.

The AHA have block booked many rooms in the hotel during that show – leaving comic creators and professionals unable to get rooms. Some enterprising individuals decided to create their own glitch and started successfully booking those rooms through the AHA website, at discount rate.

Sadly it seems, someone caught on and those bookings are now suddenly being cancelled. The booking page has just added the following proviso.

PLEASE NOTE:
These online reservations are available only for current and prospective attendees of the Health Forum / AHA Leadership Summit. If you are not a current or prospective Summit attendee, your reservation will be cancelled with notification from the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

Sorry guys, looks like you'll be sleeping outside with the Twi-hards!
