So Who Got Lucky With Amazon?

So Who Got Lucky With Amazon? Not everyone has been totally displeased with the Amazon Cancellation letters. Such as Bleeding Cool poster llamachameleon who has been told that Amazon will honour the order of one copy of the Complete Invincible Library, retail price of $125, for $14.99.

Hello,

We're contacting you about order #002-1394448-8466664. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that an error caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:

The Complete Invincible Library, Vol. 1

At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. However, this was our mistake, and we'll honor the incorrect price for one of the items you ordered. We're unable to honor the price for multiple quantities of this item. Therefore, we've adjusted the quantity of your order to "1." We're sorry for the disappointing news.

The correct price is listed on our website now, so if you'd like to place another order for more of this item, you can do so here:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/[ASIN]/

We value your business and hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Department

While CharlesKnight writes to say he's been told he'll be getting single copies of his multiple orders for Invincible library, Ultimates Omnibus, Gravel all at the $14.99 price. This seems to be a common story now, if you ordered multiple copies of an item, you may get just the one. So the speculators and resellers may be the real beneficiaries of yesterday's glitch – but not to the extent they would have liked,

Me, I've just been told I'm getting the Criminal HC, along with Punisher MAX 4, Walking Dead 1 and 2, Powers 2 and Nextwave… I haven't had anything else cancel on me yet, but then equally none of the big items have moved to "shipping" yet…

So what have we learnt from yesterday? Well, even as the Amazon Top 100 begins to start to reflect reality again, the top five books are still al comic books, the day after the prices were all put up again – this glitch was absolutely massive. That Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch's Ultimates was really really popular, even in hindsight. That Brian Bendis' Daredevil run is more popular than Ed Brubaker's. And that Stan and Jack can still kick ass with the best of them.
