Well that's what I thought when I first found out the news. A few hours before DC announced it.I was all ready to ask DC Comics about it when they got in the office… then the Source ran the story at 9am and have just kept following up ever since…

Anyway, it was a hectic week at Bleeding Cool. We got exclusive with exclusive stories – David Finch signing up to write and draw a title at DC Comics, and an unnamed penciller jumping ship to Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman. We asked if Dark Horse spoiled Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 8 to boost sales and exactly what IDW knew about it all.

There was a lot of fuss over Millar And Mc Niven's Nemesis, with DC legal getting them to pull the Ledger-baiting cover, looking at trademark issues with the name, Vaughan and Millar going after Superman, big director interest in the Nemesis movie and an eBay auction to name a main character in Nemesis after yourself.

We had columns from Warren Ellis, Si Spurrier, Alasdair Stuart and Adi Tantimedh, each a peach!

We saw a stack of Neal Adams artwork, a coloured Spirit/Doc Savage/Batman cover, a stack of work from his and Frank Miller's Batman Odyssey and a small stack more.

New projects from Ethan Hawke at Vertigo and Bendis and Hitch at Marvel?

A spot of corrected Marvel's backmatter, Diamond UK got snowed under with delayed deliveries, Paul Gambaccini's DC Comics-related run on BBC's Celebrity Mastermind,and tipping Graphic.ly before the rest of the world went mad for it.
