It's the way modern society chooses to celebrate people, it seems. A Google Doodle on the Google homepage today, to celebrate Popeye creator E.C. Segar's birthday, one hundred and fifteen years ago today. And seventy-one years after his death. The Guardian do a nice big splash on it here.
