It should be a rule. Don't do Hawkman on the TV. It looks like bad cosplay. Even when Brian Blessed did it.

Think about it, sure. Take meetings. Have a bunch of Smallville writers sit around and pitch treatments about how they can make the character work.

Then take all those treatments and burn them. Then burn all the writers.

Unless you actually have a human being with wings to take the role, don't bother. It will just end up looking like a bloke with feathers stapled to his shoulder blades.

Central Jersey gets a new comic shop.. but everyone wants to know what's up with owner John Paitakis' shirt? I mean, it doesn't even have any top bit of sleeves like a T-shirt, but the collar is all wrong for a vest-type garment, girlfriend.

USA Today tells us that the, frankly, forgotten comic book Alien Legion has a screenwriter and is prepping for a movie. And while it may be a Marvel book, its only the creators who get the cash, such was the plan of Epic editor Archie Goodwin back then. I really wonder how Disney will react to Kick Ass' similar nature…

USA Topday have been running lots of comics stuff of late, from the Superman strip in Wednesday Comics to giving Image United stacks of publicity every week. Are they the new easy lay for comics that Entertainment Weekly used to be? I'll have to give them a try for Chase Variant!

And now it's time for people to buy Italian comics publishers, with movie company Fandango buying Coconico Press which publishes Fantagraphics and Drawn & Quarterly books in Italy as well as many original works.
