Modern Warfare Gets Hit By Stray Bullets

Stray Bullets and Young Liars creator, David Lapham, appears to be writing a comic book mini-series for Wildstorm based on the upcoming and much awaited first person wartime shooter, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The comic is called Modern Warfare 2: Ghost, according to game developer Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling. He posted a couple of twits that included the cover art and slight details of the series. He wrote;

Speaking of Ghost. Behold the coverart for Issue 1 of MW2:GHOST comic series w/ his alt-plotline by David Lapham

and

The MW2:GHOST comic will be broken into a 6 pt series and is being done by DC Comics & @wildstorm – I've been working closely with the guys for several months now and trust me, it's hardcore

Ghost is a popular character in the Modern Warfare series, that's him on the twitpic shown left. The game ships in November, so you might expect a comic book release to tie in with that schedule.
