The comic book Injustice: Gods Among Us, a prelude to the upcoming game, has been a bit of a hit, both in digitally and in print. But it’s also exposed a rather familiar and criticised trope in the storyline that sets up the game.
We mentioned there were big creative changes happening at DC. Well, they’ve now just been announced, ahead of this weekend’s DC Comics creative conference in Charlotte, North Carlolina.

Warner Bros. are, as is their prerogative, taking it steady with Justice League. This is their shot at Marvel Movieverse style glory, creating not just a single hit film, but a whole, cyclically boosted network of pictures. Only fools would rush in.
Here are the extended and then short edit of the new Iron Man 3 Superbowl trailer. We were running just the shorter one earlier after it appeared to sneak out early via just one of the affiliate stations, but everything is looking shinier now. Every pixel polished in the blood of whoever pressed ‘play’ at that one affiliate, maybe?
There’s an error margin, for sure, but Lego’s movie tie-in kits are something of a Bleeding Cool staple for the way they so regularly reveal hitherto hidden information about upcoming movies. Tonight, it’s Iron Man 3 and a trio of action scenes rendered at minifig scale.
If they’re wrong then it won’t matter, but if Latino Review have it right, then they’ve just managed to spoil rather a lot about the Marvel Movieverse during phases two and three.
If you visit a certain page on Entertainment Weekly’s Back Issues Store right now you’ll see a preview of one of their new Star Trek Into Darkness covers. This one shows Chris Pine and Benedict Cumberbatch, though the headline refers to the other one, the design with “Kirk and Spock.”
