Bleeding Cool has learnt from a number of sources that DC Comics’ Next Big Thing will be a focus on the villains of the DC Universe, and introducing a raft of bad guy characters to books, many of whom will be making their debut in the New 52.

Just as I was about to run the story about the Villains Month at DC Comics yesterday, I received an e-mail from an anonymous source that not only backed up everything I’d heard from good sources about that project but added some new details about DC right now, some of which I’d heard (and was planning a story for today) and some of which I hadn’t.
So Scott Snyder has given Batman the Court Of The Owls. He is currently motoring through the Death Of The Family story with the Joker. So what’s next?

The Royal Albert Hall last night played host to We Are Most Amused, a Princes Trust charity gala. Amongst the numerous attractions was a sketch about the ongoing economic crisis, interrupted by the surprising return of Edmund Blackadder. Je was once again played with almost flammable unctuousness by the brilliant Rowan Atkinson.

Are you getting excited for 2014′s Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation? The film is being produced by Marvel Studios and James Gunn has been brought on to write and direct the feature. Unfortunately for Gunn, his association with the project has led to people taking an interest in some of his previous academic writings upon the subject of comic books and the characters who inhabit them.
The well-respected Doctor Who fansite Blogtor Who published, just minutes ago, a compilation of rumours regarding next year’s 50th anniversary special. And then pretty much immediately deleted them.
