Default The Rob Liefeld/Duane Swierczynski Deadpool/X-Force Comic That Never Was

Rob Liefeld has been talking (and showing off pencils) from a comic book that never was. A Deadpool/X-Force mini-series drawn by him and written by Duane Swierczynski, to which he'd finished two issues, with Deadpool messing around in American wars of the past.

However as terms and conditions were changing for Marvel freelancers , he stated that he was called by Marvel who wanted to pay him after the whole work was completed, rather than by the page as was standard.

So he left Marvel mid-series and moved onto Hawk And Dove.
I was inking my own work at this point, so my pencils are lighter and looser than if I was being inked by someone else. The first few pages of the first issue were being colored as I was drawing issue #2.
He also mentions the completed five issue Killraven series with Robert Kirkman also bottom drawed at the publisher...

Marvel is hoarding Liefeld "artwork" and keeping it from the public at large?

Ach. So much hate for Liefeld. Am I really the only one feeling all nostalgic seeing those classic X-Force costumes?
PLEASE CONSIDER putting SilverSmurfer on ignore due to his factually incorrect and hysteric claim that "Uber" is a "historically revisionist nazi fantasy," and that we should boycott Avatar for it.
    Thank you for your Considerations.

I have to admit, I was a big fan of the original X-Force series. It doesn't hold up at all today but at the time I really liked it. It got much better when Liefeld left and guys like Greg Capullo and Adam Pollina were drawing it.
You can take down my violin...and play it all you please
'cause at this time tomorrow...it'll be no use to me
    I know they're gonna hang me...tomorrow I'll be dead

Speaking of which, where IS Adam Pollina? I can't even remember the last thing I saw him draw, and that guy was an amazing talent. I bet he'd draw a hell of a Hawkman book...

    The costumes are okay.

Even Tony Daniel was a vast improvement.

The last thing he did draw was "Angel: Revelations" for Marvel (in 2008). And before that it was his OGN "Romp" (in 2003).

and that guy was an amazing talent.
Indeed. One of my favorite artists of all time.

I bet he'd draw a hell of a Hawkman book...
Judging from his work on Angel - yes. He would.

Too bad he left comics and designs fashion, jewelry and the like now.

I love Swierczy's writing, and have a soft spot for Rob's art. Always liked X-Force (not much of a Deadpool fan). I would have checked it out.

I have a lot of things to be ashamed in my life, but fortunately being a Rob Liefeld at some point is not one of them.
To be or not to be. That's not really a question.
