Default Launching A Campaign To Keep The Fictional Fictional

Some may say I'm a bigot for writing this. But I'm sorry, it's a matter of them and us, it's about protecting what is ours, and preserving a future for our children that we can be sure about. And I blame the media.

The Korean News Agency has announced they have discovered an ancient?*two thousand-year-old unicorn lair.

Serbian villagers are being advised by local government to hang garlic on their windows and doors as the local vampire,?*Sava Savanovic, is on the loose (pictured).

Real life superhero Phoenix Jones is getting shot, stabbed, beating up racist agressors in the street and is hitting the headlines as a result.

And Bigfoot has had his DNA sequenced as a human hybrid. We may have a photo of him.

There has always been some blurring of the lines between fantasy and reality. Klingon?* weddings, and cosplay is fine (yes, it is). But once fantasy starts to actually happen around up, then we will have crossed some kind of Rubicon and all bets will be off.

The Campaign To Keep The Fictional Fictional (CKFF or See-Keef) is campaigning to keep lines of fantasy and reality sufficiently delineated. To preserve a respect for the natural order of things. And for any trolls, gnomes, fairies, sprites or demi-gods to go back where they came from.

It may sound harsh, but it's the only way.

Only stuff is fiction until it isn't. Okay some stuff.

Warp drive, teleportation, tractor beams, a lot of stuff has changed since I read the science in science fiction back in the 80's.

As a kid I love Arthur C Clarke's mysterious world, some of those mysteries have been explained. Crystal Skull inconveniently around the time of Indy movie.

Ball lightening was a myth until wasn't a lot like lightening striking upwards.

?? Did you even understand what TimTrue was writing about? I see no connection between his post and your reply.

As for the article, anyone else gets the feeling that either the quality of news on this site here is decidedly lower than before or that there just are not enough news for Rich to post and so he is resorting to more and more totally pointless filler articles?

I was right about to say, this is the antithesis of Grant's entire life's work.

If this is about "unblurring" the line between fiction and reality, I guess they will go for religion, too.

That's funny given that technically that's the basis of a thousand year old holy war.

Actually, I just thought a terrifying and evil God just hired a very good PR agency to freshen up his/her brand and make him less scary and more cuddly. "C'mon, God, You gotta diversify and reach a wider demographic!"
