Universal Soldier: Regeneration is the upcoming canonical third film in the Universal Soldier series. The film will be directed by John Hyams, the screenplay is by Victor Ostrovsky and it will star Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme, both reprising their roles from previous films in the saga. MMA fighter Andrei Arlovski is also featured as 'NGU', a new model of Universal Soldier aiding the terrorist faction. Like its predecessor, the movie is not related to the two TV sequels produced in 1998.

I think they need to ditch the movies and expand the series into games. Will probably work better and be a heckuva lot more fun.

The concept is good, but the reuse of the original characters dates it.

Why continue with Vietname veterans when they could revive it using veterans from the current war instead to keep it fresh and make it more contemporary?
