<p>Heavily-mocked-then-feted stars of the most recent series of The X-Factor singing performace talent show on ITV, Jedward, have made their mark in the most recent issue of Batman And Robin from DC Comics.</p>

If by way of a minor sex change. Written and drawn by British creators Grant Morrison and Andy Clarke, the series has already seen the caped crusaders battle through a variety of British locations, meeting some very colourful types along the way.

As loathe as I am to confirm it, Jedward are Irish, so be judicious with the use of the term British Isles. I know it's meant in a geographical context and not a political context, but it still sits uncomfortably with most Irish people.

That said, if it helps in any way shape or form, I speak on behalf of the entire Irish population (over the age of 13) when I say whatever country wants them can have them!
