Default New Dan Dare Figure And Chris Weston Character Designs

These are the prototypes for upcoming Dan Dare figures to be manufactured by day2daytrading, known for their retro-style Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon figures).

And they're based on these model sheets by Chris Weston.

Expected release is March/April. Handy for when the Mekon invades in 2010. Which he will.

I imagine Chris Weston was thrilled to do that. I remember how disappointed he was when the Virgin Dan Dare he was briefly attached to turned out to be a reinvention.

It's not that its a reboot, it's that its the 42nd reboot while the 41st reboot is still going on.

Wasn't it set in far enough in the future, as not to be in conflict with existing stuff?

I'm not a guy who usually buys toys, but I'm damn tempted to make an exception for this.
