Default Hooked on Bowie, what should I get next?

I have "Heroes", "Low" and "Ziggy Stardust". I need MOAR. What should I go after next? The ones in the poll above are the ones I'm seriously considering. I'd love some recommendations from you guys.

(who by the way I'm still in love with)
sucking the face of some pretty boy
with my favorite band's most popular song in the background.
Is it wrong that I can't decide which bothers me most?"

"Dancing with myself" is the song of my life.

...If you're only now getting into Bowie, here's the albums you should get, and in the following order:
    • ChangesOneBowie
    • ChangesTwoBowie
    • Ziggy Stardust
    • Diamond Dogs
    • Heroes
    • Let's Dance
    • Outside

...The first two are greatest shits compilations that'll give you a wide spread of Bowie's various personals up to about 1984 or so. The other albums fill in the gaps, while "Outside" shows you what happens when Bowie teams up with Trent Reznor. After that, watch "The Man WHo Fell To Earth" and the "Ziggy Stardust" concert film, and you should be somewhat up to speed.

Not a very glowing review of those first two CDs OM:

Thanks for that recommendation list too. I've been bulking up my Bowie slowly over time and other than "Ziggy Stardust" and "Heroes" I wasn't really sure what to go with next. I think people discover Bowie like they discover Pink Floyd, once they first start listening they need to go out and get the whole catalogue.
    TRUTH!

...That's how I call them. If it's a female, I refer to them as Greatest Tits.

...Hits and anthologies are good for sampling the actual best and the artists' preferences. This is the Moody Blues is still the best way to expose new Moodies fans to the best of their first seven albums, giving them a feel for how diverse and esoteric those seven sojourns were so they'll know what to expect when they download them off the torrents

I have a personal vendetta against greatest hits albums and from what little I've heard of "Outside", it sounds fucking atrocious(no offense to anyone who loves that album).

I've also heard very mixed things about "Diamond Dogs".

Hunky Dory is a personal favorite of mine. I'll bust out with Oh! You Pretty Things whenever I've been drinking a lot.

Meh.. depends on the artist, depends on the hits. (Damn, I'm so profound!)

I do have a problem with bands and/or artists who bring out three or four albums followed by a GH compilation. That's really just taking the fiscal piss.

Bowie's probably got enough material that a GH works.

    Cheers

I maybe used to be a kind of star decades ago. Now I'm just a burnt out mass, but I'll still drag you down and crush you to dust and nothingness if I have to...

Wow, no love yet for Scary Monsters (which I instantly rectified ), and that's not because I'm a child of the '80's (believe me, I'm old enough to have been of the right age for Bowie when Ziggy first came out).

PJ is correct in that Bowie has enough of a body of work for a very good GH album, but it got me thinking about when has an artist been around long enough to have some point in their career "jumped the shark"? For Bowie, I believe it would have been Never Let Me Down but he made up for it with Heathen and the first Tin Machine album.

When this came out, it was actually pretty surprising if not cutting edge. I'm not sure I'd go anywhere near it these days anyways...
