    Default Soundtrack To Your Life

Goofy, fun game I picked up from another forum I frequent.

    The Rules

    1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
    2. Put it on shuffle
    3. Press play
    4. For every question, type the song that's playing
    5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
    6. Don't lie and try to pretend your cool by cycling through til you 'find one you like'.

    And here goes...

    Opening Credits:
Brand New Day - Sting Featuring Cheb Mami (Great song, but I kinda feel like I 'missed by one' with it....)

    Waking Up:
Walkin' the Dog - Rufus Thomas (Weird. That's exactly what I do when I wake up.)

    First Day At School:
Shake It Up - The Cars (What? Am I going to Ridgemount High?)

    Falling In Love:
    No Diggity - Blackstreet (Err....?)

    Fight Song:
Gin & Juice - Snoop Doggy Dogg (Hmmm...)

    Breaking Up:
Easy - Faith No More (Whoa. Appropriate.)

    Prom night:
Negasonic Teenage Warhead - Monster Magnet (Party. Party.)

    Life:
Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder (Sweet! I'll take it!)

    Mental Breakdown:
Big Time - Peter Gabriel (Oddly appropriate song.)

    Driving:
Holding Back the Years - Simply Red (We'll just assume it's on the radio and holds no significance otherwise.)

    Flashback:
Land of a 1,000 Dances - Wilson Pickett (Riiiight.)

    Getting back together:
Let's Hear It For The Boy - Deniece Williams (This here song is a clear indication that I share the I-Pod with my beautiful wife, Ev.)

    Wedding:
Dance, Dance - Fallout Boy (Sure, but I don't think the missus would've agreed to it.)

    Birth of Child
Sparkle - Curtis Mayfield (All right. That's cool.)

    Final Battle:
I'm Your Boogie Man - K.C. & the Sunshine Band (This is fantastic. Very satisfactory indeed.)

    Funeral Song:
New Year's Day - U2 (Great, now I know what day I die!)

    Final Credits:
The Message - Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5

Interesting soundtrack, but the script just wasn't there for me and the action was blaise and repetitive.

However, the leading man was fantastic! This kid's goin' places! Excellent job!

whoah, sounds like these are good songs. Now, I think my soundtrack is "Just say yes " soundtrack from Get Him to the Greek -a hilarious movie this week. Diddy is in there and Diddy's music is also great.

Good lark! I had a variant version, with different questions but some method. So from the current loads on the iPod....

Opening Credits: "Trekka" by Puscifer (from "V is for Vagina", perhaps birth would be more appropriate...)

Birth: "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria (acceptable rock gods value)

First Experiences: "Mr E's beautiful Blues" by Eels (So that's why I'm a miserable bastard then!)

Falling In Love: "Friction" by Timbuk 3 (Bwahahahah!)

Breaking Up: "Rude Boy Rock" by Lionrock (Fine tune but ill-fitting)

Getting back together: "Fields of Gold" by Eva Cassidy (Lordy, how soppy)

Life: "You KNow I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse (ah, increased accuracy to make up for Lionrock then)

Madness: "Share the Words" by Field Music (er....)

Lessons Learned: "Is She Really Going Out With Him" by Joe Jackson (Ho, ho)

Love: "Basket Case" by Green Day (OK, this is getting spooky...)

Children: "He's Gonna Step on You Again" by John Kongos (not particularly applicable, methinks)

Theme: "New Day" by Mary Margaret O'Hara (Oh, this I like very much!)

Death: "Get Up" by James Brown (This game understands sarcasm, then)

Funeral Song: "Satellite" by the Hooters (actually, that's not so bad)

Final Credits: "Odyssey" by Kiss (Get in! Craig would be proud!)

I have grave reservations, but here goes:

Opening Credits: Love Ressurection by Alison Moyet

Waking Up: She Had The World by Panic At The Disco

First Day At School: You Got Me by Jason Chain

Falling In Love: Destroyer of Worlds by Tom Smith (WTF? Bwahaha!)

Fight Song: Dream On by Colin Hay

Breaking Up: Gonna Make You Love Me by Ryan Adams

    Prom night: Damn by Bellefire

Life: Goodbye Girl by David Gates

Mental Breakdown: Up The Junction by Squeeze

    Driving: Time by Fascinating Aida

Flashback: Cemetery Drive by My Chemical Romance

Getting back together: La Petite Fille De La Mer by Vangelis

Wedding: The Day Before The Day by Dido

Birth of Child: Happy Xmas (War is Over) by Sarah McLachlan

Final Battle: Joy by The Sundays

Funeral Song: Tears All Over Town by Everything But The Girl (Fitting...)

Final Credits: Dear God by Sarah McLachlan.

    Interesting...

    Cheers

I maybe used to be a kind of star decades ago. Now I'm just a burnt out mass, but I'll still drag you down and crush you to dust and nothingness if I have to...

I love things like this... I'm the kind who fills in all those magazine quizzes, even when I
know how they set the outcome, lol.

Opening Credits: Birds by Bic Runga (hmm... kind of melancholy... fitting)

Waking Up: Everything by Hooch (oh yeah... funky)

First Day At School: Sketches of Topanga by W.G.Snuffy Walden
(not sure this fits the terror I recall - far too laid-back)

Falling In Love: Gateway by R.Carlos Nakai (native american flute. interesting)

Fight Song: On Your Side by Susan Enan (yeah, even with shuffle I'm trying to keep the peace)

Breaking Up: Ice by Sarah McLachlan (spot on)

Prom night: Leaving New York by R.E.M. (considering I've never had a prom night, not bad...)

Life: Precious Things by Bic Runga (pretty good)

Mental Breakdown: Tonight's The Night by Rod Stewart (rofl!)

Driving: Glantoga (the pure choice) by Fionn
(celtic spiritual chant... hmm. Classical or loud rock is my usual choice)

Flashback: Mr Blue Sky by E.L.O. (never realised this has a duck quacking at the start!)

Getting back together: Aftermath by R.E.M. (ooo, spooky)

Wedding: Origin of the Species by U2 (hmm...)

Birth of Child: We All Belong Here by Susan Enan (would have thought 'Shout!' would be more appropriate... or maybe I Want To Break Free)

Final Battle: Fighting For My Love by Nil Lara
(who *are* these people? I've never heard this before!)

Funeral Song: Loving You Always by Coldplay (bit spooky, lol)

Final Credits: The Lucky One by Alison Krauss (well, I guess so. )

Considered opinon? I think the shuffle function on my ipod sucks...

    Opening Credits:
About to Rage - Gov't Mule

    Waking Up:
Sally's Song - The Nightmare Before Christmas

    First Day At School:
The Cave - Jerry Goldsmith (Elementary school on the planet of the apes!)

    Falling In Love:
Don't Cry Sister - J.J. Cale and Eric Clapton (That's awkward and uncomfortable. I'm not...how do I put this lightly...a character on Justified.)

    Fight Song:
    Real Love - Smashing Pumpkins

    Breaking Up:
    Silica Pathways - Richard Gibbs

    Prom night:
All Along the Watchtower - Bob Dylan

    Life:
License to Kill - Big Brass Bed (Uh.)

    Mental Breakdown:
How Am I Different - Aimee Mann (Fitting.)

    Driving:
Tales of Brave Ulysses - Cream (I don't drive.)

    Flashback:
    Lazy Sunday - Lonely Island

    Getting back together:
Just One of Those Things - Diana Krall

    Wedding:
    Octopus's Garden - The Beatles

    Birth of Child
'Cross the Green Mountain - Bob Dylan (Awfully funereal for such an occasion.)

    Final Battle:
I've Just Seen a Face - Holly Cole (Is John Woo directing this movie?)

    Funeral Song:
    Old Friend - Lyle Lovett

    Final Credits:
Let It Rain - Eric Clapton

Well, none of this is awkward at all.

    Opening Credits:
Living In America - James Brown. So far, so good... only off by about 4000 miles as I live in London!

    Waking Up:
I'm Looking Through You - The Beatles

    First Day At School:
A Foggy Day - Ella Fitzgerald

    Falling In Love:
Licence To Kill - Gladys Knight. Some love...

    Fight Song:
Jump (For My Love) - Girls Aloud. Should be a good fight then as I've been harboring gently psycopathic tendancies towards them for the past few years...

    Breaking Up:
Too Much Love Will Kill You - Queen. As if the breakup isn't bad enough, the soundtrack is an AIDS analogy. Well...

    Prom night:
The Tracks of My Tears - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Sucky prom night.

    Life:
Steady As She Goes - The Raconteurs. I can take that.

    Mental Breakdown:
Strange Little Girl - The Stranglers. I can think of worse groups to have a breakdown to than The Stranglers!

    Driving:
Forbidden Love - Madonna. What am I doing, driving away from the recent Madonna stuff as fast as I can?

    Flashback:
Elvis Ain't Dead - Scouting For Girls. I guess the flashback is to a time pre-1977 then.

    Getting back together:
Two Princes - Spin Doctors. Obviously I'm getting back with my ultimate bro for my ultimate bromance.

    Wedding:
Can You Feel It - The Jackson 5. Wedding night I guess....

    Birth of Child
Maneater - Hall and Oates. An eerie premonition for my baby girl

    Final Battle:
Electioneering - Radiohead. I can totally see my desperate final battle happening to this.

    Funeral Song:
Shout - Lulu. Ironically, the one person not shouting, throwing their hands up, etc is... me!

    Final Credits:
Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac. Er... OK...

    Well, that was interesting!

It's a talking heads movie, with no sound but the back and forth.
There's plenty of slow motion, and pointless black and white posturing, though.
Stop telling me how things should be, I'm just some cunt on the internet.
Get up, move to a table without the internet, and do something about changing it.
