Default Once Upon A Time Continues To Plug Ultimate Hulk Vs Wolverine

    "What are you reading?"

    "The Hulk.... Vs Wolverine"

We've mentioned the appearance of Damon Lindelhof's Ultimate Wolverine And Hulk in the ABC series Once Upon A Time before, as the showrunners also worked on Lost with Damon. But this week's episode probably had the biggest plug for it yet, opening with a close up on panel, as well as throwing in John Byrne's Fantastic Four and Kazar into the mix, creating what must be the oddest comic spin rack going. If convenience stores even still had comic spin racks that is. It must be a fairytale...

In that universe Hulk Vs. Wolverine is probably an ongoing title.

So they'd be up to what, issue 8 by now?

Ok, so now we have definite proof that this show is set in a fairy tale town. No other town would have a non-comics store that sells comics...

One of the town's idiosyncrasies is that outsiders never try to enter and residents can never leave. This begs all sorts of questions about how they conduct commerce with the outside world, receive deliveries and such. Maybe the randomly dated comics are a hint of more revelations to come!

(Or, more likely, they're leftovers from some intern's closet. But it'd be nifty if they were a clue.)

Exactly what I was going to say. And pretty much every Stop & Shop (a grocery store chain) had them in the magazine section up to about a year ago.

Not too long ago the 7-11s in Virginia still carried comics. I miss seeing them in places other than comic shops. To me, only having them in specialized stores creates an elitist feeling that deters others from discovering them.
