Default X-Men Comeback For Ian McKellen And Patrick Stewart Confirmed

Bryan Singer has dropped the bomb on his Twitter feed tonight.
Thrilled to announce @ianmckellen118 & @sirpatstew are joining the cast of #XMEN #DaysOfFuturePast #magneto #professorX More to come...

    ? Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) November 27, 2012
We've known for a while, and I've been regularly indicating, that the plans for X-Men: Days of Future Past involve bringing back the "classic" or original X-cast for the sequences set in the 'future timeline.'

We understand that the main thrust of the story is set in the 'past' and features the First Class cast. We don't know if Stewart will go eye to eye with James McAvoy or McKellen with Michael Fassbender, but the prospect is exciting.

Next, Mr. Singer, if you wouldn't mind confirming the sentinels...

    "More to come?"
Any chance we'll get some Mutants who weren't in the previous movies?

X-23 would make a good addition to the future team...

So will the "future" timeline be before Picard gets evaporated by Jean in X3? or an alternate future/present?

I'm really looking forward to this.

Except if they use Cable or Bishop, because man do I hate Cable and Bishop.

I've just read a comment on IGN asking for those characters.
Cable and Bishop are SUPPOSED to have nothing to do with it. But it's Fox so you never know.

I guess if they pull something like Psylocke in X3 and use characters that are like Cable or Bishop but not actually them, okay. But introducing a time-traveler that is maybe related to a current character is just way too complicated.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best: Use Forge!

Can you imagine the amount of Chess that will be played in this movie?

Wasn't Bishop in the TV adaptation of Days they did in the 90's cartoon? It'd be cool if they used him in a similar capacity.

Does it really matter? The original story had Rachel Summers, and her mother was dead-dead (or supposed to be, frakkin' retcons).
