Default How Susan Storm Just Aged Five Years

As The Official History of The Marvel Universe states, Susan Storm, The Invisible Woman, met Reed Richards when she was seventeen and living with her aunt. Richards, a university student, was rooming at the house.

In today's Fantastic Four, we get another look at that first meeting.

Why is this notable? Well, because this is how it was portrayed the last time in a Marvel comic...

I think it's fair to say Marvel have moved on, yes?

Comics courtesy of Orbital Comics, London, who are currently planning this little Valentine?s Day special tomorrow?

Come on now,we all know both writers and editors don't bother reading their own series. No one cares about continuity any more...except maybe us readers. The more Marvel publishes their "NOW" books the more it feels like a soft reboot.

Ooooooor, they decided to retcon it because, as it was, it was remarkably creepy. She's twelve for crying out loud.

Not all readers. I don't care about minor details like that. I am interested in them telling a good story. If that means adjusting things that didn't make sense before, who cares?

Yeah, someone needs to put the old caption boxes on the new panels. Then you'll see how creepy it would be.

I don't mind this at all but it does show that it was silly when during the Marvel NOW run-up, everybody was saying "Marvel never does retcons!" Marvel does little retcons constantly. They have a floating timeline, it's impossible not to.

Nick Fury has always been black.
Sue Storm has always been around Ried's age.
Tony Stark and Frank Castle where always born out of a Middle Eastern conflict.

Maybe that's how John Byrne drew 17 years old girls at the time?

No one draws a preteen young girl in love with an adult man like John Byrne!

Nick Fury is not black. Nick Fury Jnr is. I fail to see the problem.
